Introduction to Linocut: Create Your Own Hand-Printed Edition

Led by Lisa Takahashi

Spend a day discovering the satisfying process of linocut printmaking. Suitable for beginners and those looking to refresh their skills, this workshop will guide you through every stage of creating an original one-colour print, from developing an image and transferring your design to carving, inking and printing by hand.

You'll learn about mark-making, positive and negative space, and how to produce a small edition of beautiful hand-pulled prints using professional printmaking materials. Whether you choose to work from your own sketches or the surrounding environment, you'll leave with a collection of finished prints and the knowledge to continue exploring linocut at home.

Tickets are £85 - book your place here

Fee includes all materials (Hosho printmaking paper, a 10x15cm block, oil based inks) - please bring an apron or wear something you don't mind getting inky.

Hot and cold drinks, and a selection of cakes will be available to purchase from our cafe during the day.

Lisa Takahashi is a Somerset-based artist, who makes linocut prints, oil paintings and watercolours.
