About Us
Palette is the creation of Verity Slade and Alistair Snook, a couple whose interest in food and culture has taken them from south London to Canada, Suffolk, Dorset and finally Bath, where they have settled and decided to join forces to establish Palette.
Verity is an illustrator, artist and graphic designer who has worked on a wide range of creative projects for clients including Universal Music, Barbican, The Atlantic and The Washington Post. She has exhibited as a painter and printmaker and tutors university students in illustration. Alongside this, she has produced exhibitions for the Royal College of Art, the D&AD Awards and managed public contemporary art spaces, including the largest artist-led gallery space in the UK.
Alistair has a wealth of experience in the catering industry and running businesses operationally but couldn’t wait to get away from the desk and into the kitchen. With an inquiring and curious approach to creating and enjoying food, Alistair has studied pig butchery, foraging and Alpine cuisine while frequently creating new dishes and experiences for private dining.
